An expedition to Namibia offers you the chance to see some of the most breathtaking landscapes that Africa has to offer. Namibia is a vast and impressive country located on Africa’s south west coast where parched deserts fuse dramatically with the ice-cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

In the trekking phase you’ll take the trail along the Fish River Canyon, watch the sun set over the African horizon and sleep under the stars come night fall.  Once you’ve digested everything these bountiful landscapes have to offer you’ll have the opportunity to take part in some local project work. This kind of work usually involves constructing important community buildings or teaching in schools or in extra-curricular clubs.

Whatever project you work on you will have the opportunity to exchange cultures with the people of Namibia and learn about their customs and traditions. Expedition members often find this part of the expedition the most rewarding as they connect deeply with people they wouldn’t even have the chance to meet under normal everyday circumstances.

The expedition will round off with a bit of rest and relaxation. Go on safari in Chobe National Park or try your hand at dune boarding in the desert to unwind after your three week itinerary of treks and project work.
