Trekking in Morocco

There are a number of possible treks for this 8-day expedition. The treks chosen for the expedition will depend on local conditions.

Mt. Toubkal (The High Atlas Mountains)
The main objective of the itinerary is to climb Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4167m. The ascent and descent happen in a day and follow a well-defined path from the Toubkal base-camp.

Amezmiz
This trek offers a low level circular route around the village of Amezmiz, giving teams a more remote trekking experience with better opportunities for cultural interaction than Mt Toubkal. This trek passes through numerous villages and across a variety of terrains including around springs and along forest tracks.

Jebel Siroua
Located to the south-east of the High Atlas, this remote and less-visited range acts as the link between the High and Anti-Atlas ranges. This trek gives teams the chance to summit Jebel Siroua as well as trekking through Berber villages, lush palmeries and spectacular rocky desert valleys and gorges.

High Atlas Trek
This trek offers spectacular views of the range and the highest peak, Mt Toubkal. Only available in the summer months due to snow at other times of the year, teams will cross the Tizi N’Tacheddirt pass, trek through numerous villages and will also have the opportunity to summit a local peak

Rest and Relaxation

All itineraries include some time on the last day to explore the fantastic city of Marrakech and its casbahs and souks. Watch out for the snake charmers!
