Expeditions to Iceland will leave you in awe at just how rich and varied the natural world can be. The country boasts some of the most dramatic landscapes you will ever see with active volcanoes, towering glaciers, lava fields, craters, powerful spouting geysers, rising mountains, thundering waterfalls, glacial flood plains and hot springs to name just some of the highlights!

Expeditions to Iceland will particularly suit those looking for a short haul destination with a difference as you embark on a 6-day, unsupported trek across one of the most popular trekking trails in Europe: the Hot Spring Road.

If you are studying geography at any level or are just curious as to how the world is formed, you cannot fail but to be impressed by the power of physical forces shaping this unique landscape. This expedition will give you the unique opportunity to see up close the affects that fire, ice and tectonic activity have in such a confined area. The expedition is a challenging one due to the range of weather conditions you will experience but the rewards are many from stunning scenery to really getting to know your own personal strengths and limits.

Naturally we wouldn’t expect you to stretch yourself for the entirety of the expedition and consequently we have built in some relaxation time to help you unwind after the excitement of your trek.  During this time you can spend some time exploring the attractions of Reykjavik, go for a dip in the Blue Lagoon or go out to sea on a trip to watch whales and dolphins in their natural habitats!

Iceland is a truly unique destination and such expeditions can change your life forever.
