What happens before expedition – over 18

Before you head off into the jungle, desert or mountains for your adventure expedition with World Challenge, here is what happens to make sure that’s all possible.

1. Application: You can sign up any time until 60 days before departure, although the sooner you sign up the better as this will give you more time to prepare.
    
2. Expedition members’ site login: When you sign up you will receive login details to your own member’s website which has loads of fundraising ideas and travel advice. You can also contact your team members through the notice board and manage your booking.
    
3. Training: Attend one of our TravelSafe courses at our award winning training centre in High Wycombe where you will receive detailed information on what to expect on an expedition. You will also have the opportunity to meet the World Challenge staff that are responsible for planning your expedition and maybe even some of your fellow team members! You will receive further destination specific training in the first week of your expedition from your Leader.
    
4. Build-up day: This is the first part of your expedition and is the day before your flight (or day of your flight if you have an evening flight). It’s an opportunity for the team to get together, check everything and for your leader to talk you through expedition life.
    
5. You’re ready to head off on expedition!
