“I think I have become alot more independent, I have realised I use my parents more than I need to. I have learnt to cook and fend for myself. I thought I would get very homesick and miss home but I think dealt with being alone very well and it has made be stronger and more prepared."
Yasmin Rai, 2010 Challenger, Kenya

“The best decision I’ve ever made, was going to Kenya. Climbing Mount Kenya was very rewarding and reaching the summit was a fantastic moment. The project week spent at an orphanage, meant the whole team got more immersed in the lives of people in Kenya and we met some fantastic kids, who were so happy despite the difficult lives they had. The team turned into a mini family, spending so much time with each other and helping one another through each step of the trip!
A brilliant opportunity, that i would recommend to anyone who is willing to work hard but get so much back in return."
Emma Mathysse, Kenya 2009
