“Our team made this Facebook group while out in Borneo, and everytime I see it I laugh so much! It reminds me of all the little things you so easily forget but are what makes the trip so special. A thousand little things happened every day to make us giggle, and it’s nice that some were put up before we forgot! "You know you’ve been to Borneo when..." got us through the jungle without wanting to kill each other!! Also I want to say that Jim is undoubtably the most amazing leader you could have picked for us so thank you World Challenge! I don’t think I’ve ever respected a man so much before in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead our team - which was quite big and arguably a lot of hard work! I hope that he comes to our Borneo reunion (which hint hint should be up north ;)!) We love you Jim!"
Bethany Lockwood, Borneo 2010

Jim, our leader, really was a fantastic leader, couldnt have asked for anything more! although our team had differences at times, we all came together to work as one and got on really well!"
Amy Williams, Borneo 2010

“On our expedition, we ended up making a family tree, because that is how close we all got! Our expedition leader Jim was like the coolest Dad ever, and there’s always someone in the team who’s the mother hen! There is so much friendly banter that you can only get when you’re living with so many people day in day out - you just constantly laugh at everyone elses habits!"
Hannah Wainwright, Borneo 2010

Sharing an experience like this with other people instantly bring you closer together. I can guarantee that by the time you go home you will have made the most amazing friends for life. We all live scattered across England, but we’ve made lots of plans for us to meet up again!"
Imogen Davies, Borneo 2010

"My expedition to Borneo was the best month of my life and I loved every moment. The highlights of the trip were completing the jungle trek, reaching the summit of Mt Kinabalu, white water rafting, visiting the Don Bosco and Bukit Harapan orphanges and the tropical beaches of Bako National Park and Mamutik Island! My expedition has inspired me and I cannot wait to go travelling again!!”
Katie, Borneo 2010

"She has a much better understanding of different cultures and environments, and her self esteem has improved having faced challenges and overcome them. The experience was very much outside of her normal boundaries so it pushed her to get out of her comfort zone and realise that she could do more than she would have thought possible before."
Kate, parent of an expedition member on the Borneo expedition
