ASDAN University Award Every expedition member on a long haul expedition can automatically gain the ASDAN UA.

The UA (university award) recognises those who have been involved in experiential learning and who have developed their own personal skills such as working with others, improving own learning and problem solving.

The benefits of the ADSAN UA Many people have found that this award has made a significant difference to the outcome of their UCAS application process. Changes in the job market have made employers demand more transferable skills as well as academic qualifications. Those who develop the skills of leadership and teamwork on expedition will be more employable as they have greater potential to add value for a company.

How does the ASDAN scheme work?
If you choose to register with ASDAN, you’ll be asked to complete a portfolio, we’ll give you all the guidance you need for this. Once you start the World Challenge long haul expedition, your work will be moderated and, if successful, you’ll obtain the award.

Due to the nature of the expedition programme you’ll find plenty of opportunities to fill your portfolio of evidence without it becoming an additional burden.
